Round a rectangle's corners

Rounded corners can soften a card, button, image placeholder, or any other rectangle in your design.

Adjust rounded cornersSelect a rectangle and drag its corner control to change the radius.Result: The selected rectangle has a 48-pixel radius on all four corners.

Adjust corners on the canvas

1. Select one rectangle.
2. Find the small corner controls just inside its corners.
3. Drag a control toward the center to increase the radius, or back toward the edge to decrease it.
4. Release when the value label shows the radius you want.

All linked corners change together by default, and the whole drag creates one Undo step.

Change one corner

Hold Alt, Option, Ctrl, or ⌘ while dragging a corner control to change only that corner for the current drag.

You can also Shift-click corner controls to choose which corners change together on the next drag. Editor v2 resets that corner selection after the drag or when you reselect the rectangle.

Enter an exact value

For precise work, select the rectangle and use the Corners field in the right panel. The largest possible radius is half the rectangle’s shortest side, so larger values stop at that limit.

Note

Corner controls are hidden when the rectangle is locked or very small on screen. If it is locked, choose Unlock for the rectangle in Layers. Otherwise, zoom in and select the rectangle again.

On a touch device

The visible corner dots have larger touch targets than they appear to have. Start on a dot and drag inward. A quick tap or small finger movement does not change the shape.
