Tour Editor v2

Editor v2 keeps creation tools around the canvas and detailed controls in side panels.

The representative video demonstrates this exact workflow: Open Assets on the left and Prototype on the right to see how Editor v2 panels are organized.

Verified result: The Assets and Prototype tabs are selected in their respective side panels.

Open any design file in Editor v2. An editable file lets you try every part of the tour; a view-only file still lets you inspect the interface, but editing tools may be hidden or disabled.

The top bar tells you which file is open and whether you are Editing or Viewing. It also reports saving progress. Use its actions to present, share, or export the design, and open the main menu for file commands such as renaming the file or returning to projects.

Depending on the file and your access, the top bar can also show Design System and Version history. If an action is unavailable, first check the mode indicator and your permission.

The toolbar above the canvas contains the main tools:

  • Move selects and transforms objects.
  • Frame creates a frame or opens frame-size presets.
  • The shape control starts with Rectangle and opens more shapes.
  • Pen and Pencil create vector paths.
  • Text adds editable text.
  • Connector links two objects.
  • Hand pans the canvas without moving objects.

The toolbar also provides Undo, Redo, grid controls, and zoom controls. A small arrow beside a tool opens its related choices.

The canvas is the large central area where you create, select, and arrange objects. Click an object to select it. A nearby Quick Bar appears for common edits; drag selection handles to resize or rotate when those handles are available.

Canvas view controls sit near the lower-right edge. They let you zoom, fit the design, and open ruler or measurement tools without changing the objects themselves.

The left panel has tabs for Layers, Assets, and Variables. Use Layers to change pages, inspect object order, rename objects, and select something that is difficult to click on the canvas. Use the panel’s search action when you need to find a command or item quickly.

You can collapse the panel to give the canvas more space, then expand it again when you need it.

The right panel changes with your selection:

  • Design contains position, size, appearance, layout, and other visual properties.
  • Prototype contains interaction and connection settings.
  • Code shows implementation-oriented details when available.
  • AI may appear only in builds and files that support it.

Select an object before looking for object-specific controls. If nothing is selected, the panel shows canvas or page-level choices instead.

On narrow screens, side panels open as drawers and the toolbar can scroll horizontally. Use the panel buttons to open Layers or properties, then close the drawer to return to the full canvas. If a control seems missing, scroll the toolbar, close any open drawer, and select the object again.
